Kay Hamilton Memorial Scholarship

Studies of the Future

University of Houston-Clear Lake

Application -- 2002-2003

The Kay Hamilton Memorial Scholarship is awarded each year to the most deserving new full-time student in the graduate program in Studies of the Future at the University of Houston-Clear Lake.  The scholarship is awarded by futures alumni in memory of Ms. E. Kay Hamilton, a futures graduate ('93) and a long-standing program supporter.  The criteria for the award are:

Demonstrated academic success

Demonstrated work and life experience

Worthwhile and feasible career objectives in the futures field

Financial need (inability or difficulty in attending the program without financial support)

The current award is $1,000.   The award also entitles out-of-state and international students to in-state tuition for one year.  The award is contingent on admission to the university in the Fall semester 2002 and maintenance of a full-time schedule (9 hours or more) during the Fall and Spring semesters.  Enrollment in the summer is optional.
